Poco lovers alert of launching X6 series in India on January 11
- POCO X6 and X6 Pro launch is officially confirmed for January 11th, 2024.
- Leaks suggest the POCO X6 as a rebranded Redmi Note 13 Pro with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor.
- X6 Pro might boast the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra chipset.
The Indian mid-range smartphone market braces for two major arrivals within the first two weeks of 2024. Following Redmi Note 13 series' official launch, POCO is all set to unveil its much-anticipated X6 lineup on January 11th.
POCO's Flipkart app accidentally revealed the launch date through a promotional banner, later replaced with a trailer. While POCO hasn't officially confirmed it yet, the date seems pretty much set in stone.
The X6 and X6 Pro are the successors to 2023's X5 and X5 Pro. Rumors point towards the X6 being a disguised Redmi Note 13 Pro, powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, which offers roughly similar performance to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. It is expected to come with UFS 3.1 storage and a triple camera setup featuring a 64MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro camera.
POCO X6 Pro: A Performance Powerhouse?
The X6 Pro, on the other hand, might pack a punch with the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra chipset, a significant upgrade from its predecessor's Snapdragon 695. Reports suggest a 120Hz AMOLED display, up from the X5 Pro's 90Hz LCD panel. Camera details for the Pro variant are still under wraps, but expectations are high for a significant leap in imaging capabilities.
POCO is known for offering aggressive pricing and performance-centric devices. With the X6 series launching amidst fierce competition, all eyes are on whether they can retain their appeal and disrupt the mid-range segment once again. The official launch will unveil all the details, specs, and, most importantly, the much-awaited price tags.
